ABOUT  US - Why choose Go Dive Malta?

We are Marco and Valentina, the owners of Go Dive Malta!

We`re a young couple, who flew to Malta from Italian Switzerland for the first time in 2013 - and immediately fell in love with its bays and crystal clear waters!

Marco worked for several years as a middle-school teacher, teaching history and geography, but has always been a lover of water, especially when viewed from below! His love for nature and all it has to offer is inspiring! A sportsman from birth, he decided once he arrived in Malta that he`d one day have his dive centre... and that dream has now become reality!

He began his diving career in the Swiss lakes, and then continued with dives in various countries throughout the world. For Marco, diving is therapy for the soul, encouraging us to admire the underwater world - whilst it belongs to us, we are only guests. In the immensity of the blue, we find amazement for beautiful things, and Marco loves spending his time immersed in his own bubbles!

Thanks to his teaching background, amazing energy, and exceptional passion in sharing the underwater world with others, Marco makes every course an amazing experience for his students, and will lead you on to discover the magical world of Maltese diving!

Valentina has always worked within the tourism sector, initially as a receptionist in a Switzerland hotel, and then at the tourist office in her home city. She`s always loved learning and speaking different languages, and sharing her knowledge and experience with tourists - so when Marco suggested a move to Malta to chase his diving dreams, Valentina immediately accepted this new challenge!

Valentina`s underwater story is not as long as Marco`s - as recently as 2013, she was afraid to put her head under water! Now, it`s amazing to think she`s a qualified Scuba Diver! So how did that happen? In 2013 when Marco worked in Malta, Valentina was on vacation for a few days. Seeing the amazing enthusiasm of all the scuba diving customers coming out of the water, she was convinced it must be worth a try! It has to be said, given Valentina`s fear, Marco wouldn`t have bet even a single beer on Valentina`s success. However, the following year she completed her Open Water Diver course in Corsica, and from then on her confidence grew with every dive, until she reached Advanced Open Water! Now though her underwater career is taking a back seat, as she`s running the dive centre, behind the counter, managaging bookings, and welcoming customers with her amazing smile, warmth and kindness! In our free time we always in the water, spending time together and having fun!

Sightseeing in Malta!

Megaliths, medieval dungeons and Calypso's Cave – The Maltese Islands are positively mythic. The narrow meandering streets of their towns and villages lead to the main square, which is dominated by the huge baroque church. As the countryside is dotted with medieval towers, wayside chapels and the oldest known human structures in the world, the Islands have rightly been described as an open-air museum.

The Maltese archipelago lies virtually at the centre of the Mediterranean, 93 km south of Sicily and 288 km north of Africa. The archipelago consists of three islands: Malta, Gozo and Comino with a total population of over 400,000 inhabitants occupying an area of 316 square kilometers.

Malta is the largest island and the cultural, commercial and administrative centre. Gozo is the second largest island and is more rural, characterised by fishing, tourism, crafts and agriculture. Comino, the smallest of the trio, has one hotel and is largely uninhabited.

With superbly sunny weather, attractive beaches, a thriving nightlife and 7,000 years of intriguing history, there is a great deal to see and do.
